Cameron Diaz Confirmed That Yes She Retired From Acting Impelreport
Cameron Diaz confirmed that she is “really retired”. The 45-year-old star has moved away from the arena in recent years, sparking speculation that she has retired from acting. Selma Blair, Diaz’s co-star in Sweetest Thing, added fuel to the fire when she spoke about it. “We were remembering the film [ The Sweetest Thing ], I would have liked to do a sequel, but Cameron is retired from acting,” Blair said according to Metro News. “She’s finished.” After the article was published, Blair took Twitter to clarify his comments.
“Guys, please, I made a joke in an interview,” Blair told his supporters. “CAMERON DIAZ is NOT retiring from ANYTHING, and for more breaking news: NOW I’m retiring from being the spokesperson for Cameron Diaz.” But now it seems that there was some truth in Blair’s statements. During a meeting interview of Sweetest Thing with Diaz, Blair and Christina Applegate, published this Thursday, Diaz admitted that she is retired.
When Entertainment Weekly asked the trio if they have met since they filmed the 2002 film, they revealed that they did. “Damn, why not?” Diaz asked. “I do not know, you tell me, girls, I see Selma,” Applegate replied, to which Blair added, “Our children are friends, Cameron?”
Diaz then told his co-stars, “Maybe I would, you know, I mean, I’m willing, I’m literally not doing anything.” Applegate then shared that it is “semi” withdrawn.”Me too! I’m literally not doing anything, I’m semi-retired, I have not worked in years, I’m a mother, that’s what we do, so here I am,” Applegate replied.
“That’s wonderful,” Diaz responded. “I’m totally willing, I’m also semi-retired, and in fact, I’m actually retired, so I’d love to see them, girls.” It’s been four years since the last Diaz tape, Annie. Since then, Diaz married Benji Madden and has enjoyed his time away from the Hollywood scene. Will Cameron come back to the big screen someday? We will have to wait and be very patient!
