Colin Farrell Decides To Go Into Rehabilitation Impelreport
The Irish actor has registered himself in a treatment, as confirmed by E! News. “It was a preventive measure, he did it to restart his life, he is not consuming anything at this time.”
According to The Daily Mail, the first medium to reveal the news, Farrell is seeking professional help at The Meadows, a very exclusive rehabilitation center in Arizona, which has been visited by celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Harvey Weinstein, Tiger Woods and more.
In May 2017, Colin celebrated 10 years of sobriety during his appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show. The 41-year-old actor had detailed his battle with alcohol and drugs. Farrell went into rehabilitation in 2006, after the filming of Miami Vice.
On that experience, in 2008 he told, “I started to leave the penumbra in which I had submerged … Basically, I had been taken or drugged since I was 14. I took and drugged me a lot at 16, it was a change of Very hard life, I was dying, I’m a lucky person. ”
Equipped with everything needed to battle his addiction, the protagonist of True Detective 2 said in a recent interview with The Independent that spending time in contact with nature has helped him a lot. “I think nature brings that out of you … I do road trips, I go to the movies with my children …”. (Farrell has two children, James is 14 and Henry is 8). “I play some music, I just live, I live without being the poison I was for years.”
