Paris Jackson Asks Fans To Stop Bleaching Their Skin Impelreport
Paris Jackson went on Twitter to make a request. “I appreciate everything they do for me, I enjoy every edition they make me, but please stop clarifying my skin to make me look whiter and please stop darkening my skin to make me look more mestizo,” he wrote in the social network. “I am what I am, I am aware of how I look and finally I am happy with that.”
Paris, who often shares on Instagram Stories the editions of his photos taken by fans, spoke about his racial identity in an interview for Rolling Stone 2017. “I consider myself black,” he said, adding something his father always used to do, “He looked me in the eye, pointed at me and said, ‘You’re black, you have to be proud of your roots.’ It was, ‘Ok, it’s my dad, why would he lie to me?’ So I just believed what he told me because, to my knowledge, he never lied to me. ” Jackson understands the confusion of the people, and explained, “Most people I know call me white, I have fair skin, and because I dye my hair blond sometimes it seems I was born in Finland or something.”
On the rumors that Michael is not his biological father, Paris is on the defensive. “He is my father, he will always be my father, he never was and he never will be,” the teenage model responded. “The people who knew him very well say they see him in me and that’s almost scary.”
Paris, one of the faces of Calvin Klein, will appear on the big screen when he premieres Gringo, a film in which he shares credits with Joel Edgerton, Thandie Newton, David Oyelowo, Amanda Seyfried and Charlize Theron.
